Do people even believe in marriage anymore? With 50% of all marriages ending in divorce, some may wonder if marriage is still meaningful. Yet, millions of people are getting married in 2020, so rather than looking at the cup as half empty, we believe that there are a lot of people that believe in marriage and want it to last a lifetime.
But why, Marriage “by God”? When two imperfect people try to create a “perfect” marriage, they often find the things that attracted them to each other are the things that frustrate them when they are married. We believe that it takes the love of Jesus, to bind two imperfect people together to become one as it says in Mark 10:7-9 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate.”… The Marriage by God premarital program introduces an engaged couple to eighteen topics related to marriage and provides helpful tools to keep the couple in the “sweet spot” and out of the “sour patch”. They will meet with one mentor couple with valuable marriage experience to help guide them through their issues.
If you want to make a statement, take the Marriage by God challenge. Record yourself saying “WE/I BELIEVE THAT MARRIAGE SHOULD LAST A LIFETIME”, and do something fun, cute or loving, because mentor couples have fun, engaged couples are cute and marriage should be loving. Post this online on your Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter page, #MarriagebyGodChallenge, and YouTube. Then make a donation at MarriagebyGod.org.
We respectfully understand that not everyone believes that God has a hand in marriage. Our workbook has been developed based on the scriptures in the Bible. Those open to hearing how these teachings have helped couples with a fulfilling marriage are more than welcome to participate. For those who decide on a different approach to premarital study, we thank you for seriously considering the Marriage by God program.
